“Keep America Great?”
This slogan being touted for the re-election of a man who is hell-bent on creating chaos and conflict wherever he goes and whoever he insults baffles me. I have to wonder exactly what he means?
Does it mean environmentally by siding with oil and gas industries over environmental and Native American issues? Does it mean building unnecessary, ugly walls instead of building bridges with our neighbors?
Does it mean limiting access to food stamps and cutting public assistance benefits?
Does it mean over 160,000 deaths from COVID-19 in this country? Does it mean approximately one in four people are out of work and/or underemployed? Does it support the fact that in the past four years, police have killed over 1,000 people, with Blacks three times more likely to be killed than whites?
Does it mean further militarization of police using force on innocent protesters?
Does it mean ensuring the large wealth gap between whites and Blacks remains? Does it mean the ratio of prisoners is 33% Black while the population of Blacks is only 12%?

As I see all the wealthy whites that Trump surrounds himself with, I have to wonder if white supremacy is what “keeps America great to his followers?”
